Oklahoma City Short-Form Video Creators: Remix Sports Media Wants Your Thunder Stories
Oklahoma City Short-Form Video Creators: Remix Sports Media Wants Your Thunder Stories
Oklahoma City, you know what a Thunder night sounds like. The roar that rolls out of Paycom Center, the Bricktown crowds heading to the arena in blue and orange, and the pickup games that keep going long after the sun goes down. This is a basketball city with real energy, and the stories behind it are bigger than any one broadcast can hold.
Remix Sports Media is building a network of local creators who can tell those stories in their own voice. We are looking for Oklahoma City videographers and editors who live in short-form video, people who know how to hook a viewer in the first three seconds and still leave them with something real.
What We Want to Create in Oklahoma City
We are not looking for recycled highlights. We want original basketball content that could only come from OKC, shot by someone who knows the city. Here are some of the formats we have in mind:
Fan interviews on game nights, capturing what Thunder basketball means to the people walking into Paycom Center.
Community basketball stories from neighborhood courts, recreation centers and youth leagues across the metro.
Short-form city guides that follow the hoops culture through Bricktown, Scissortail Park and the places fans gather before and after games.
Event coverage of local tournaments, camps and community happenings, plus the energy around the Oklahoma City Blue.
Creator-led shows and recurring series that give a personality, a point of view and a format to your city's basketball conversation.
Think vertical video for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, with clean audio, smart framing and fast, rhythmic editing. If you can turn a two-minute conversation with a longtime season ticket holder into a clip people share, we want to see how you do it.
The Creators We Want to Meet
This search is open to anyone with the skills and the drive to make great basketball content. That includes:
Videographers and mobile filmmakers who are comfortable shooting on location, in crowds and on a deadline.
Short-form editors who can cut, caption and package a story for social platforms.
Photographers who can add stills and behind-the-scenes moments to a video story.
On-camera storytellers and street interviewers who can start a conversation with a stranger and make it feel natural.
Content creators with an existing audience, a signature style or a series they already produce.
You do not need a big following or a studio. You need a sharp eye, reliable work habits and a real connection to Oklahoma City basketball. Ready to put your city on the map? Apply through the NBA Content Creator Search here.
How to Apply
Head to the application page and send us the details below. The more specific you are, the easier it is for our team to picture your work on Remix Sports Media.
Your portfolio or work samples, such as a reel, a folder of clips, a YouTube channel or a social page.
Your social handles, so we can see your style and the community you have built.
Your availability, including the days, evenings and game nights you can realistically cover.
One original story idea from Oklahoma City that you would want to tell for us.
That last item matters most. Tell us about the barber shop with the loudest Thunder debates, the high school gym with a decades-long tradition, or the coach nobody has profiled yet. Your idea shows us how you see your city.
A quick note on expectations: submitting an application is the first step in getting to know you and your work. It does not guarantee a position, payment, credentials or specific assignments. If we see a fit, our team will reach out to talk through next steps.
Your Oklahoma City Story Starts Here
