Miami HEAT Expands Jr. HEAT Summer Camps Across South Florida

The Miami Heat are once again making a major impact off the court—this time by investing in the next generation of basketball talent. With the announcement of expanded Jr. HEAT Basketball Summer Camps, the organization is creating more opportunities than ever for young athletes across South Florida to develop their skills, build confidence, and experience the culture of one of the NBA’s most respected franchises.

According to the official press release , this year’s Jr. HEAT camps will run from June 8th through July 31st, offering multiple sessions at both returning and brand-new locations throughout the region.

A Summer Built for Development—On and Off the Court

The Jr. HEAT Basketball Camps are designed for boys and girls ages 7–17, and they go far beyond just shooting drills and scrimmages. These five-day camps focus on building well-rounded athletes by emphasizing:

  • Skill development and basketball fundamentals

  • Teamwork and communication

  • Leadership and character building

This isn’t just about creating better players—it’s about shaping better individuals. That’s what separates programs like this from your average summer camp.

Participants will also receive exclusive giveaways and get rare opportunities to meet current HEAT players and franchise legends. For young hoopers in South Florida, that kind of access is a big deal. It creates moments that stick—and can genuinely inspire kids to take the game (and their personal growth) more seriously.

Miami Heat: More Locations, More Access

One of the biggest highlights of this year’s announcement is expansion. The HEAT are increasing accessibility by adding new venues while continuing to utilize proven locations.

Camp locations include:

  • SLAM Miami High School

  • Cooper City High School

  • Kaseya Center

  • Nova Southeastern University (new)

  • Deerfield Beach – Pick-A-Ball Sports Complex (new)

That expansion matters. It removes barriers for families across Broward, Miami-Dade, and surrounding areas, making it easier for kids to participate without long commutes.

Full Camp Schedule

Here’s how the summer is structured:

  • June 8–12: SLAM Miami High School

  • June 15–19: SLAM Miami High School

  • June 22–26: Cooper City High School

  • July 6–10: Kaseya Center & Nova Southeastern University

  • July 13–17: Kaseya Center & Cooper City High School

  • July 20–24: Nova Southeastern University

  • July 27–31: Deerfield Beach (Pick-A-Ball Sports Complex)

(Dates and locations are subject to change.)

The staggered schedule gives families flexibility, which is smart. Not every parent can commit to the same week, and this setup increases overall participation.

Pricing and Early Bird Opportunity

Camp sessions start at $520, but families who act early can take advantage of a discounted rate as low as $420, available through April 24th.

If you’re serious about getting your kid involved, waiting is a mistake. These camps will fill up—especially at premium locations like the Kaseya Center.

Why This Matters for South Florida

From a bigger-picture standpoint, this initiative continues to strengthen the NBA team’s connection to the local community. The Miami HEAT have always been known for their culture—discipline, development, and professionalism—and this is how that culture gets passed down early.

For parents, this is a chance to put your kids in a structured, high-level environment instead of letting summer slip away. For young athletes, it’s a chance to learn directly from a championship-caliber organization.

And for the region, it reinforces South Florida as a true basketball hub.

Miami Heat Basketball Camps

Programs like Jr. HEAT Basketball Camps are more than just summer activities—they’re stepping stones. Whether a camper dreams of playing at the next level or just wants to improve and have fun, the structure, coaching, and exposure here can make a real difference.

If you’re on the fence, don’t overthink it. Opportunities tied to professional organizations don’t come around often at this level—and they don’t stay open long.
