The Miami Heat lost their fourth straight game with a loss to the defending champion Denver Nuggets. It wasn’t a bad loss, as the Nuggets are the hottest team in the NBA. But what does it mean for the Heat?

The Heat are still elite at mucking up games, always giving themselves a chance, but this season, it never seems like they’re in control. They are usually the ones bouncing back from the punches thrown. Injuries and lineup changes have finally seemed to catch up to this team. No matter who you plug in, the Heat fail to look like a team that has finally figured out.

With less than 20 games left and no answer for a Tyler Herro return, the Heat are poised to start the postseason banged up. Bam Adebayo is still battling as always but looks to be dealing with injuries himself. Although the Heat are built to compete with any team in the Eastern Conference this time, you aren’t catching anyone by surprise.
