Atlanta Hawks and The Home Depot Announce Multiyear Partnership Focused on Fans and Atlanta Youth
The Atlanta Hawks are teaming up with another hometown institution to build their home-court advantage—and create opportunities beyond basketball.
The Hawks and State Farm Arena announced a multiyear partnership with The Home Depot on October 19, naming the Atlanta-based retailer their Official Home Improvement Partner. The agreement brings together arena experiences, original digital content and youth programming designed to connect with fans throughout metro Atlanta.
For fans, the partnership will show up everywhere from interactive spaces inside State Farm Arena to giveaways during games. For local students, it will offer opportunities to explore careers in construction, design and the skilled trades.
New Experiences Inside State Farm Arena
A central part of the agreement is The Home Depot’s sponsorship of the Atlanta Hawks Fan Zone, the arena’s interactive fan destination, along with Harry the Hawk’s Nest, Built by The Home Depot.
The retailer will also have a presence throughout State Farm Arena, including courtside LED displays, concourse signage, the 200-Level Impact Board and the arena’s digital marquee. In-game shot-tracking and statistics integrations will add another connection to the action.
Andrew Saltzman, the Hawks and State Farm Arena’s President of Business Enterprise and Chief Commercial Officer, described the agreement as an opportunity to unite two Atlanta institutions through fan experiences and programs that introduce students to career possibilities.

“Build the Noise” Brings Fans Into the Action
Hawks fans will have a new way to make themselves heard through “Build the Noise,” a season-long hammer stick giveaway planned for all 41 regular-season home games and every Hawks playoff home game.
The Home Depot will also become the presenting partner of the Hawks Value Pack ticket offer, adding another fan-facing element to the agreement.
Together, those initiatives give the partnership a role in the game-day experience, from choosing a ticket offer to joining the crowd inside the arena.
Partnership Extends to Digital Content and the College Park Skyhawks
The agreement also includes sponsorship of the Hawks’ “Built in the G” YouTube series and the team’s roster page on Hawks.com.
That digital presence extends the partnership beyond fans attending games, creating opportunities to connect with audiences following the team online.
The College Park Skyhawks, Atlanta’s NBA G League affiliate, are included as well. The partnership covers branding, community ticketing and talent appearances, connecting the agreement to another part of the organization’s basketball footprint.
Allison Kolber, vice president of integrated marketing at The Home Depot, emphasized the company’s Atlanta roots and the opportunity to bring people together through live sports while supporting its hometown.
Introducing Atlanta Students to Career Opportunities
One of the partnership’s most significant components is My Dreams Realized, a student engagement program developed in a joint effort with Atlanta Public Schools.
The program will introduce students to careers in construction, design and the skilled trades through a Future City Exposure Day and field-based learning experiences.
The initiative gives the partnership a purpose beyond brand visibility: helping young people explore industries and career paths they may not have considered.
The partnership’s Community Court Tour will combine summer basketball and fitness clinics for youth ages 6–16 with hands-on Saturday Kids Workshop DIY builds.
Pairing basketball with creative projects offers participants opportunities to stay active, learn practical skills and work alongside others.
Beginning with the 2027–28 season, the Hawks will also make an annual donation supporting The Home Depot Foundation’s work.
Two Atlanta Brands Investing in Their Hometown
Founded in Atlanta in 1978, The Home Depot brings a longstanding connection to the city into its partnership with the Hawks.
The agreement combines the visibility of NBA basketball with programs that reach into local schools and neighborhoods. Its scope—from fan giveaways and digital programming to career exposure and youth clinics—creates several ways for the organizations to connect with Atlanta throughout the year.
For Hawks fans, that means new experiences surrounding the team. For local families and students, it means additional opportunities to participate, learn and explore what comes next.
